Transition Year students are organising a collection for the homeless and a shoe box appeal. The school had a similar collection last year which was very successful. The students learned about sharing and the need to look out for others, while the homeless directly benefited from their work. A large number of shoe boxes were collected last year, each of which contained some of the following: toiletries, baby wipes, tooth brush, tooth paste, deodorant, hats, gloves, socks, hard sweets and other gifts. Students and parents are asked to support this shoe box appeal again this year and to bring in a selection of the above items as soon as possible so that the boxes can be packed up. We expect to distribute the boxes in approx 3 weeks. Any help you can give will be very much appreciated.
