With all the dry weather in the summer months, water levels are often low and we all need to conserve water to ensure supply for essential water use like washing hands. Even when it rains it takes a long time for the water supply to build up. Also, by not using as much water you save on the energy it takes to treat and pump water so you’re saving on carbon emissions too. For this reason, Green Schools (sponsored by Irish Water) are holding an exciting competition to promote water conservation.
